It seems like there is news almost every week now about the next generation 5 series (F10). And while it may be 24 months before the F10 is officially introduced (at the March 2010 Geneva auto show), many of us now are contemplating the timing of our next vehicle purchase.
I think we should start a F10 Forum here - now - and take the lead among BMW web sites as a source of information about the next iteration of our favorite model - the 5 series.

I agree - info on the F10 is starting to flow and I think once we get close to the release of the new model almost every post in the main forum will be F10 related. Good idea to create the forum now and get the F10 related posts in the right place from now on.

Yep you guys are probably right, it's about time to create one. My thought on this was to create the F10 sub-forum here and eventually branch out the F10 to its own completely seperate site and forums at f10forums.com or f10info.net both of which I registered early last year.

I disagree. I don't want to hear and read about a better car coming out soon that's going to make my car obsolete. I object whole heartedly cause I'm in denial.
You guys need to be contented and enjoy what you have at the moment and in the moment and stop looking at the next best thing. Just like marriage!
Well, okay, I'm gonna get overruled anyway so have at it.

Sounds like a plan. Don't forget Hormazd's offer to donate the BMWf10.net domain that he's holding...

I really want f10.net but the guy who has it wanted some really high amount. I think it was $3000 or more, I don't recall now but I'll email and ask again.

We can't have "bmw" in the domain. BMW will send you a cease and desist order with it for trademark infrigement. I don't want to have to deal with that.

$3000 for F10.net? Maybe we should take up a collection?? Either that, or wait and see if he lowers the price or gives it up...

Yeah... ifyou remember several years ago they took down bmwm5.com. They were forced to move their forums to m5board.com and allowed to keep their main site content on bmwm5.com with no links to the forums at all. I'm not sure what they're problem is with forums ... well gee, I wonder!

There's enough info floating around now about the F10 that would be nice to have captured in one place for reference and discussion, Let's add it as a sub forum ..................
