Can't get Multiquote to work

What's the process? Click "Multiquote" to capture the html of the poster you want to quote, then what? If I scroll to another poster I want to quote, I only get the last one. What am I missing?

You click multiquote if you want to quote more than one post in a reply.
Select all posts by clicking multipost and then click on 'add reply'. The window for your post now shows all previously selected posts.
If you only want to quote one post you hit reply on that specific post.
If you want to add a reply without quoting you hit add reply without previously selecting any post.
