I love this board. Great job DAS and thanks for putting up a great site for Bimmer fans. The interface is much better than Roadfly and hopefully we'll start attracting more members. I'll spread the word around. Thanks again DAS and keep up the good work!

Actually, that's still allowed. In my description of the changes, I said "Effective immediately, guests will no longer be able to start topics. Guests will still be able to read and reply to all topics, but only registered users will be able to do things like start new topics and post attachments/images."

So guests can't start topics, upload, use attachments, etc., but they can still respond to topics. I don't want to prevent a casual visitor from offering a quick reply (as in the example thread you posted). If it becomes a problem, I can of course change it, but I think this addresses the main concern of guests arbitrarily starting topics that have already been answered numerous times, adding clutter to the board. I don't think that a guest response in a thread that already exists detracts from the board (unless we start having problems).
