To the pros in here it may seem like an ok idea, but I have to tell you, for us newbies we dont want to annoy you guys with the same old BT questions, but thats what we really need assistance with... so I feel this can be only a benefit for us "lost" with this topic. Thanks guys!

Several votes and no comments... I agree there are tons of bluetooth posts but I dont know if a seperate forum is good. I need to hear some comments!
What do you guys who voted think? |
I think it is probably best to gather all the BT related info together into
one forum, so new user does not have to keep using the search function to seek BT related posts. Save time and frustration out. For the people that has no BT related issues, they can skip the section entirely. It is a good idea to keep an updated list of all the BT phones (input by users/owners of course), so that we know which phones work perfectly with E60 but not on the BMW list, then whenever someone needs some reference, they can just go there. |
I agree with phototalk. When you bluetooth isn't working some help and info gathered in one forum would be very helpfull.
My bluetooth works great and I never read the bluetooth discussions. |
At first glance I personally thought: "more forums... we got enough".. but if you search for bluetooth there's so many posts about it.. bluetooth in conjuction with the CPT9000 phone. I'm thinking to call it:
"Bluetooth & Mobile Phone Discussion" How's that jive with everyone? |

I don't like the idea of MORE forums...
But BT is a technology that is not from BMW or for cars only. So you can say it is not really an E60 discussion. Therefore I think we COULD create a new forum for it. But this should NOT become usual to set up a forum for stuff that has more than a dozen threads... Still don't like the idea... |
The downside is that it will likely only be visited by those with problems. Those with experience and possible solutions are less likely to be exposed to questions in a Forum removed from the general E60 topics.
But I've only hanging around E60.net for a couple months now, so I could be wrong. |
