DAS could also consider adding the following forums:
-Wash/Detailing
-Regional info
-Product Review
-FAQ forum
-Driving Tales
-Pic Showroom
-Other Rides
-Audio & Electronics
-Site Talk
-Bimmer Talk/Motorsports Talk

So far we have a lounge and we are not using it.
Why don't we start using the lounge first (for "other rides" or stuff like the "motorsport talk") ?!

I have seen for sale sections on other forums that work very well. I figured since some people were worried about offending others byu posting in this section it might be nice to add a for sale section. So far the yes has it.

Any reasons for no would be great. Good to read all opinions

I voted "yes" based upon that our forum host would be able to collect commissions for all sales activities made here.

Well, I think a for sale/for trade forum is a great idea...we can definitely look at doing that, and as Lomag and I work on the transition to the new site, that can certainly happen. Some of the other things, like FAQ, regional info, personal galleries, etc, are already in the works, though some of it won't happen until the forthcoming major revision to the forum software.

I wouldn't want to break down the E60 forum too much though, because it separates out information that might be useful to everyone. I think keeping E61 and E60 M5 separate is utlimately a good idea, and if there is a big subsection of E60 talk that needs to be broken out, we can certainly think about that.

Thanks for chiming in das! I agree that for now, having things in one forum is easier to deal with and more efficient to browse.

The message traffic on this site has significantly increased recently and I think we're all happy about that but the until the traffic increases dramatically, it's working fine as it is right now.

As Iceman said, we already have the lounge. It'll be easy to move stuff there once it starts to get in the way in the main sections.

Also, since there is a transition coming (soon, I hope ), it makes more sense to wait until the rollout before making any changes now.

My $.02 -- either way, we all agree that this is the place to be for the E60!
