how high can you safely raise psi from stock psi without putting the turbo in danger of being damaged or is it not recommended?

what are you using to raise the boost?

as the boost goes up, timing and fuel pressures also needs to be controlled to prevent knock events or limp codes/over heating the turbos....

the jb+ which attaches to the tmap sensor, none of the mentioned controls above with it, raise boost to 10-13 psi IIRC.

with the jb3 and other ecu tunes, the boost has been noted to go as high as +17 psi IIRC on 335's (depending on maps, i think jb3 v2 has been reported to even hit 18 psi)

I think on on flashes (GIAC, ESS, etc..) boost has been logged on their S1's to be 13-15 psi's IIRC....

ecu and flashes are safer on the turbos as fuel pressures and timing is controlled better....

in terms of safety: Flash>piggyback IMO

***obviously with the higher psi's you'd like to have better bolt-on aftermarket parts to help such as an FMIC (not available for 535's), DP's, and better flowing exhaust systems...

***more info and research can be done/found on n54tech.com or e90posts: the FI section
