Coolant Bleed Procedure
Hello all,
Looking for any advice as to why I cannot activate the coolant bleed procedure on my 2006 530XI. Battery is new, connected to charger for good measure, pump and thermostat are brand new just installed. For context, this is the first BMW I have owned, 134,000 miles, had it for about a year. Overheated on the way to work a couple months ago, assumed that pump was shot. Only code it threw was ECT. I have followed the standard coolant bleed procedure - ignition on, heat all the way up, fan on low, hold gas pedal for 10-15 seconds, but pump will not activate. Just looking for any direction to go here, any and all suggestions are appreciated.

Could be wiring to the pump. I was reading recently on Bimmerfest I think where someone’s ground screw for the pump had snapped off and a new pump wouldn’t work.
