Very 1st Car Please Help Me 🙏
So i Have a 2005 525i e60 its my very first car , i know a little about coding & bought the car used
so I didnt realize how screwed up (mickey moused) it really was until i hooked it up to my obd scanner the whole electrical system / radio / ac etc you name it
i managed to fix alot of the problems by getting a new ibs sensor for the battery because when i got it it was completly missing .
anyways what i need to know is how to flash my vin to all the new parts i put into it i have a grip of things that the vin number reads null or says 00000
i have all the software on my laptop just need a detail by detail how to guide any help would be appreciated.
theres two main things that i would like to fix if possible
the used idrive i replaced everytime i start the car it says ecu not coded correctly
and the biggest issue i have is my ac is not working it blows cold air on one side or it just blows hot air
please help im including the codes that popped up for the ac i have no idea what the ibs one is i just replaced it
🥵

Hello. I’m sorry I’m not experienced with repairing the original factory electronics… I only know about aftermarket modules, HOWEVER, one thing that might help you is that when you have the key in the on position, you can hold down the mileage counter reset button next to the speedometer and it gives you a computer menu to scroll through which shows many complex German-word things to reset. PLEASE NOTE: THE PHOTO DOESNT SHOW THE GERMAN MENU WHICH I FOUND WITH A FOXWELL SCAN TOOL IN THE OBD PLUG. I don’t remember how to get to the German words… but the scanner was what got me there.
and again, this might not be helpful and I’m NOT an expert, but nobody else responded, so, I think you might benefit from using the most official software you can get. Paying the dealership is insanely expensive… but I used to modify video games when I was a kid and I can tell you there’s a reason computers freeze… any software that is incorrect is a death sentence even if it works for a while. Basically, I’m saying try to keep everything original. If you can buy or download a Bentley Manual for the E60 you will have LOTS of electrics help!!!!!!!! But also, if you go to the junkyard and find an E60, it shouldn’t be more than a 1000$ to buy every module you can get, then you can just replace whatever. I don’t like OEM electronics… but to repair to original they are needed.
