Glove box Fuse 30 draining the battery - E60 2004 530i
Hello,
I have a problem with my 2004 530i E60, I am hoping someone can assist me with.
Fuse 30 in the glove box (Air conditioning-Automatic) is draining the battery within ~an hour.
This doesn't seem to be a "module not going to sleep" - this seems more like a short circuit on that circuit.
If I remove fuse 30 in the glove box (Air conditioning-Automatic) the car / battery will last for months.
If I re-install fuse 30 in the glove box (Air conditioning-Automatic), the battery will be completely drained flat within an hour or less.
I've done a LOT of looking around online for this issue and I can see a lot of different suggestions
"Master ballast resistor"
"Final stage unit"
etc ..
I don't want to just blindly start replacing parts hoping for the best.
Is anyone able to tell me what is on this circuit so that I can pin point this issue?
Thank you in advance for anyone who took the time to read this far. 🙏
