I'm just finishing a shopping cart order from ECS to do the wastegate rattle repair on my 2009 535xi. While I'm in there I'll do the oil pan gasket, motor mounts, and the tension strut bushings. Does anyone recommend anything else be done while I'm in there?

Hmmm, I've considered it... I'm really not a fan of replacing things that aren't broken. I know lots of people talk about them failing, but for each one that is failed there are probably many out on the road that have not failed so I think I'll leave that one alone. Maybe I should look again though to see just how much work it takes to get in there to the pump to decide how much it would suck if it died later. Thank you

Yah, I am also on the fence about the water pump, I just picked up a 2010 with 126,000km. I verified it's running on the original pump (even though I was told/apparently lied to) on five separate occasions that it had been done. I am planning on some routine maintenance on mine last week of July/first week of August and it's definitely on my radar. I don't really want to do anything either if it isn't broken but the piece of mind may beat that out. I'd like to not have to do it mid-January here when it's -30C
