Default Changed mehatronic sleeve now transmission won't shift

I changed my transmission oil pans and the megatronix sleeves today and I made sure to align the shifter inside the pin on the megatronix unit when I put it back together. Now it's back together I refilled it was about 4 quarts of transmission fluid when I start the car and shifted into reverse or drive it automatically goes back into Park. Does anyone have any ideas what could be going wrong?

Is your door or hood open? You filled it with the engine running?

Door and Hood were closed. I filled in about four courts with the car off.

You need to fill the transmission with the car running until it starts overflowing from the fill hole. You are low on fluid.

I just filled it till it was overflowing it said it was 40° on inpa. Do you know if there is any way that the parking cylinder could be in the wrong position I lined it up correctly but is it possible that I shifted is or something? Not really sure it was under some load I had to maneuver the handle to line it up with the PIN. But it looks just like it does in the picture. Thanks for the help I appreciate it

I can't tell you that as I've never removed the valve body from an E60. Does it have transmission codes?

I check for codes today and there was no codes stored in the system but when I lowered the car it shifted through the years. And I was able to put it back up on the stands and add another quart and a half of fluid it seems to be going through the years now. Thank you for the help.

So, it only took 5.5 qts? Seems low to me. Mine takes 7. You sure that the car was running when you added the fluid? Very important that the car be running.

I definitely think it needs a little more fluid. I had trouble leveling the car I tried leveling it off of the transmission oil pan and it seemed if he's a little unlevel. I'm going to try releveling it this weekend with wooden blocks.
