Does anyone have experience with using an Auto Transport trailer with their 5 series?

What might be the do's and don't of using one of these Transport trailers?

You drive your car onto the trailer until there's a couple hundred pounds of weight on the tongue. Strap down and go. If in doubt, the trailers have instructions written on them.

To add, I know the cars also have transport mode which can be set using INPA. Not 100% sure what it does but it is there.

Probably keeps the alarm from going off.

If the BMW is on a rolling carrier (and you are pulling the trailer with a truck), how about leaving the car unlocked so the car alarm doesn't go off.

All you have to do is double-press and hold the lock button on the remote to disable the motion sensor. The little cyclops light will come on steady for a short time to indicate it is activated. That feature is in there so that you can have the car on a ferry, for example, and the alarm won't be triggered by the motion of the boat. It's described in the owner's manual.
