been told my alternator is OVER CHARGING guy took a plug off it saying its to do with smart charge? with wire on it was 15volts wire off its 14 volts he says alternator fkd but if its still charging how can it be fkd my freind says its possibility of a module instead of alternator anyone shed light on this good thing is no more warning lights appear on the dash

Sorry dude... not enough info here to make any helpful ideas.

You need error codes or something more helpful. 14 some volts when engine running is normal.

its the voltage regulator on back of alternator thats faulty just need to replace it cheers mate

From what you have described, one cannot definitely say that the voltage regulator is faulty. Nothing wrong with 15 volts charging the battery, depending on its state and type. And 14 volts resting is also normal. Sometimes "a little knowledge is a dangerous thing".

as soon as auto electrician disconnected the plug from regulator charging voltage was normal and not had any problems with the car thats 5days now so might keep fekn thing now 😎😁

if its disconnectedand works ok why replace it old saying if its working leave it alone
