Default removing the LCI automatic shifter

Hi guys,
Sorry for my question but has anyone removed the LCI auto shifter (it is not the SAT shifter)? I have searched the internet and the BMW forums but I cannot seem to find any clear procedure for getting the shifter off or if it is even possible. I found some article from Pelican that says you just pull it off and be mindful of the cables attached to the shifter. Most of the auto shifter removal videos only show the pre-LCI auto shifter. I am not changing the shifter, just wanted to know the way to remove it just in case I need clearance to pull out my radio/Navi system in the future or if I even need to remove the shifter to do this. I have a 2008 535xi with CCC (8.8" screen). If this is in the wrong forum, please feel free to move it.
Thanks very much,
Danny

Hi Reefin, thanks but I have seen that same pdf file and he was removing the whole non-SAT auto shifter + the base off and replacing it with the SAT shifter assembly. I just wanted to remove the auto shifter and not the whole assembly if it is at all possible.

i am pretty sure that it can not be removed. there is not another part on RealOEM for the shifter alone. only for the covers. while for the Pre-LCI the shifter lever is listed separately.
