Default E61 rpm jump

Hi!
I have a small rpm jump on my 520d lci with 6hp26 and hope someone can help me.

when cruising at 50-55 mph i can see small jumps in rpm the tach is maybe jumping 50-100rpm at max. Where should i start gearbox oil change?

It's usually insufficient transmission fluid

If you do not have a dip stick then no. You must get under the car. If you find you do need fluid and adding does not change the issue you're in for a long troubleshooting process. When I've seen this and simple things did not fix the issue (cleaning parts and adding trans fluid) then you have to wait until an error code comes. I say this because I had a friend with that issue. He took it to the dealership and after spending over $1200 the car still did the same thing. I took a stab at it and replaced parts and did an A/c service (he was hell bent on fixing the issue) still the same thing. I did everything I could think of that would cause it. Needless to say 2 years later he still has the same issue with no code. BMW basically gave up and refunded his money after I told him to press the issue. Hopefully yours will through a code if the fluid does do correct the issue.
