Hello all, Keith here from Canada.Just alittle about myself im mid 50s and caught the bimmer bug 8years ago with the purchase of a 1993 530i black on black.The e34 caught my eye right away for some reason.I learned all about the different tricks on how to maintain her then i got itch to go faster.So i kept my eye open and did my research and found a 93 m5 euro Japan across country in british columbia.The car was too good to pass up it had 98000kms and the owner was basically asking price was that of the price of a new crated s38b38 engine.So i sent him a cheque and had a independant mechanic out there go over car.Had car shipped too toronto then i drove it here and never looked back.Since having the m5 ive done all maintenance on her myself all oem parts only with german oil of course.Found out last year she needed some dme work apparently the original dme either got moisture in it or something on the cylinder side shorted out.I found a replacement dme out of russia of all places plugged it in and away she went no problems.I only drive car in summer mostly too bmw shows and weekend cruises.The only upgrade ive done to her is a performance chip from E.A.T performance best move ive made yet.Opened up revs more power and improved mpg wow.Today i added a newer car to collection although its not much of a collection yet.A 2004 545i 4.4 v8. Wifes daily driver and a weekend smooth ride getaway car. Thanks for looking in guys and i hope to touch base with some or all of you from time to time in the forums.
