Default Blue smoke after oxygen sensor replaced. Downstream after the caddy.

I changed my o2 sensor today because I couldn't pass smog. However, after turning the engine over the whole area was covered in smoke. Smelt really bad too. Im confused on if it's normal or if this means I need to spend more money. Someone help me out? I need to get this car up and running to register it under my name lol

I've never had that problem before but I understand how it can if a faulty sensor had been there for a long time

Give the car a good run if possible for the system to clean it self out and reset

Visible smoke is definitely not normal.
