Knocking coming from belt system? 2007 550i e60
I finally purchased my dream car. It is a beautiful e60 550i with 235k (kilometres), but it has (maybe) a valve cover leak from driver side of the car (Im from Canada), a vacuum pump leak, and a bit of knocking which i suspect to be from the belt system. can anyone advise me on how to tighten a pulley? or should a different course of action be taken?

Are you sure it's the belts? I had a similar issue and change the belts and related parts, turned out to be the
Vanos seal. Get as close as you can to the Vanos to confirm. Per your milage it may or may not be the cause..
