AUX Cable BMW E60
Hi,
I bought a replacement AUX cable (my old one cracked from overuse) but when I fitted it I am not getting any sound through it. Its the same when I connect a 3.5mm x 3.5mm cable to the existing aux outlet behind the center console (although I think my kids broke this years ago from getting in and out of the car so might be unrelated). I read on another thread here that fuse F37 in the glove box is the fuse for it but according to the diagram this controls the phone (not activated on my car) and it is missing from the slot. Everything else is working, that should be working, including the cigarette lighter (I also read they might share the same fuse).
The 12pin adapter has 3 wires, but the location of the wires in the slots are different from he old cable to the new...would this matter? The picture, attached, is the broken one. So on the new one, the red white and black wires are in different slots. Perhaps the cable is wrong?
What else could it be? Thanks

If you still have the old one pinned in, just try rearranging the new one accordingly.
You should be able to unpin them using a needle or something similar.

Definitely the pin out of the new cable, I remember when I replaced mine the wires were different then original and it didn't work when I tried it, changed the pins and it worked
