Default where does the GPS line go?

I am just trying to save some time here

Does anyone know where the GPS cable starts
Of course it ends in the roof at the GPS sender/receiver but where does it plug into?

In the boot?
In the dash?

any help will save me a lot of time chasing wires

Thanks

Correct.

On the CCC it's the blue plug you can see on this pic (not mine):

Thanks for the picture
On my car there is not blue or black cables connected yet the direction arrow on my screen moves when I turn corners

mine is a 2004 E60 and so now I am really confused!
I plugged my new cable into the blue but still no change on the screen.

I am wondering if the gps on the 2004 is in the other wire cluster somewhere? and not seperate plug

any ideas?

I have a 2004 E60 as well and was pretty sure it looked exactly as in the picture.
However, a few months have passed since I last had a look at it.

I might get around taking a look at it on the weekend but don't pin me down to that.

The other option is that someone has gone into the car before i bought it and never reconnected the two cables?
I will also go back into my car on the weekend and stick my hand into the hole when the unit is out and see if I can find both wires

Well, how accurate is your GPS location?
What's the reason you want to exchange it anyways?

I'm not sure if you get any good signal at all without the antenna.

My 05 530i, Jan 05 build date, with CCC, has GPS connector in identical position as the photo posted, for what it's worth.

From prior experience installing a GPS unit on a sailboat, the GPS unit will not acquire any GPS satellites without the GPS antenna cable connected to the unit. Typical GPS unit, hand held or permenantly installed, acquires 12 satilites for optmum reception, operation.

My GPS is not working
It shows im in the middle of the ocean always at the same point. and it never changes from that picture no matter where I drive

the only thing that happens is the arrow will rotate as I change direction when driving

Without any of the two wires connected (as in the picture supplied) I am wondering how it evens gets a signal for the arrow to rotate?
