I have the AFE air intake system in my 530xi, i think i threw out my stock ones, so if anyone wants to do a even trade or have stock intake that wants to sell. Please PM me with the price and all. THANK YOU!

why you getting rid of it and going stock

The AFE intake loses power, I just took mine off today and replaced it with my stock airbox with BMC filter :).

The afe "hot" air intake and its power loss due to heat soak and the generally loathing of the intake by members here have been addressed in many a thread.

Do you also have a Magnaflow exhaust to go with the AFE? :lol:

hey, sorry to add to the above comments - I know you probably had the best intentions when you posted this thread, but it will be tough to move AFE on this forum.

I'll redeem myself: even though AFE intake systems have been dyno-proven to cause a decrease in power, it has been largely attributed to the temperature under the hood. Which means that with some heat-wrapping and a little customizing, there is a very good chance that the AFE intake will actually add HP. Also, I have a feeling that having a vented hood would go a long way... :whistle:
