i have an 07 530i, id love to get M5 autofold with puddle lights going but im not sure how i can accomplish that. i dont have the auto fold feature now so i think its gona take some wiring. im just looking for a set of mirrors to start preferable painted jet black but hey im not picky...

Joe, you actually just need to get mirrors with the folding motors. The E60 contains the module already, so it just needs coding to enable folding via key fob.

Based on Simon's info, its probably easiest to buy your set from NVD. Fitment is acceptable from what I've seen.

I was looking at those they look pretty good. I'm assuming can get the motors from bmw?

This I am not sure. I was under the impression that the reps exterior housing is nearly the same as the real deal, but the internal is different. That being the case, since the motor has to be swapped over from your existing, I suppose it could be possible that auto-fold can be achieved if you can source the motors.

Anyone know the part number? I might partake in this actually if it's doable without too much modification -- cuz I am lazy like that.

This is my next mod for sure. I'm gona hold out till I can get the folding figured out. And probably get a puddle light in there since I modded mine to red LEDs already haha

Yah, I was just giving it a little bit more thought, perhaps it's best if the question is answered by NVD. He should be able to tell us.

In my mind, I don't think it's possible, but we can hope together.

NVD mirrors cannot auto fold unfortunately. . I have a set of them and asked the question to many of the guys on here n got the same answer. Cannot be done. Still looks good tho
