Anyone out there?

 

I have a set of original LHD M5 mirrors in Mint condition Platinum grey that i purchased in error (there not RHD) if you are interested let me know

 

yours not going to fit in his car since yours is 07

 

They will as they are Pre 2005 mirrors. with the 2 block connectors, as i said i purchased them in error

 

will they fit a 2006?

 

Um, how do you find "Pre-2005" M5 mirrors when the first year for E60 M5 was 2006 meaning the earliest build date was in 2005 some time, making Pre-2005 mirrors imaginary.

 

Im not 100% but i beleive they are called pre-09/2005 as the loom that is used is the same loom in the e60 when it did came out. The e60 has been around since late 2003, hence pre 09/2005 so M5 the early ones also had the early loom, until later on when it was changed, which I beleive was late 2006.

If anyone knows different please chime in.
But from what I have read in this forum and others have said and i have understood there are 3 different looms

1) pre-LCI pre-9/2005 (2 connectors)
2) pre-LCI post-9/2005 (1 connector)
3) LCI (1 connector, but different to the pre-LCI single connector)

So as originally stated these are genuine M5 mirros with the original loom.

You basically need to check how many connects you have, this will tell you if these are plug and play. Although if you have only the one connector you can still fit these you just need to use your loom as oppose to the loom on the mirrors.

Its not hard but its not as easy as plug and play.
