Hey guys,
I'm in the market to buy a pair of SSMB8 Kicker woofers for my E60. I'm searching high and low but it seems that these speakers are now obsolete. If anyone has a pair (used or new) and in excellent working condition, I would definitely make you an offer.

Thanks in advance.

Even if someone can point me in the direction of where these are sold or whether anyone on the Internet still has stock, this would be an option for me also.

Thanks guys!

Spykes,
I've been on the phone with Hifi Sound connection since Wednesday. Unfortunately that auction is bogus and there are actually non in stock. I don't know why they haven't killed the eBay listing as yet.

Good luck on the search Nigel, from what I understand they're hard to find. Looking forward to your audio install.

Thanks Nelson, this audio upgrade will be a very far cry from the beastly upgrade you did to your car. You must still seriously enjoy your monstrous sound system every day you climb in and drive around. The upgrade path you put me on last year would also have been killer but unfortunately timing was all wrong.

Now I'm taking a much more conservative and cost effective approach to start. Swapping out the subs under the seats and adding a six channel JL Audio XD600/6 Amp in the trunk to drive the additional OEM speakers along with a full gambit of Technic custom cables to make my install life that much easier. From there I may swap the speakers out in the doors and behind the rear seats if the motivation strikes me. I'll keep you posted on how it turns out.

IndyRedBeast,
Yes, the Rainbow X-Plain W200, Jehnert's and the Earthquake SWS-8 are all good options in tandem with the Kickers. The Rainbows and Jehnerts add considerable more cost and I've read that the Earthquakes are not that great for midbass without a processor. If I can't find the kickers, the next in line will probably be to get the Rainbows or the Earthquakes.

Hey Nelson,
I know you're the sound guru and the Earthquake subs are easy to find but can you point me towards a NA supplier who may have either the Rainbow X-Plain W200 or Jenhert XE 200 subs?

Thanks,

Thanks,
Hi Nigel,

Don is the NA distributor for both brands. I'll send him an email for pricing.
