I always recommend you buy shocks & springs together. Springs on OE suspension will be bouncy, you'll bottom out, and you're just prematurely wearing your OE shocks. I'm sure you'll hear different opinions but I'm saying this from experience.

For the Xi models, yeah, it's still best to buy the shocks, or get the springs and just get the shocks when the OEM ones won;t take it anymore. Unfortunately, there is no KSport application for Xi's - so your choices are Bilsteins and H&R (around $1200) or KW (around $2500)

With H&R sport springs you get the following drop:
Non-sport suspension = 1.3" front/1.2" rear
Sport suspension = .7" all around
