Because the Hamann splitter goes straight across, most of the middle part is closer to the ground so it has less clearance than the Hartge. I've scraped the Hartge a few times already though, at the two lower points. I did this because I wasn't paying attention but I've gone up and down many steep driveways and have been okay, just drove slowly at an angle.
Cool, thanks. How was your clearance before the splitter, with just the M5 bumper? Did you scrape at all (and were you lowered)? I'm pretty sure you were since I saw it lowered @ Bimmerfest, I think

I never scraped my 545 w/M Tech bumper and KW coilovers or my M5 with the RDSport springs, before the Hamann and Hartge splitters were added.

That's like a girl saying I just want a couple pair of shoes or purses...is that too much to ask for?

We all know it doesn't stop...that's the problem. haha

Dammit....I was leaning way towards the Hamann splitter after seeing the Hartge one on another thread, but damn, it looks hot on ECF's car.

The Hartge splitter looks like it has a ton of clearance from the ground even though it looks like he's running 20's and with a lowered suspension. Wonder how different it is with the Hamann splitter. Photos really play mind tricks and sometimes the car looks higher (or lower) than it actually is in person, so it gets confusing at times.

Do you still want the authentic Hartge M5 splitter? Let me know b/c I can point you in the right direction. You can probably get it in maybe two weeks from my source.

Nah, after the M5 rear, I'm done modding.

Thanks Joe!
