Figured it is a long shot, but need one General Exclaim UHP tire in 245/40 ZR 18 93W size to replace one that encountered a road hazard. According to Tire Rack, the tire has been discontinued.
If you are dealer, and may still have one in stock, please give me a shout.

Yeah, the G3 Max has a different pattern though. I've seen the Feds. Never heard of them before. Also found some cheap Sunnys (SN3800) that match the thread pattern pretty good.

That sux ... just when a good tire has been on the market at a great price the company "discontinues" it Exclaims are what I have for my 3-season tires too!
Have you considered buying 2 G-Max's so you have a matched set across the same axle? I'd bet the handling characteristics are pretty similar and keep your other good tire as a 'spare' - just in case
Prices at TireRack are pretty good and if you shop / buy thru the link in my signature you'll pick up an extra 4% rebate - helps cover some of the shipping costs.

Update: The people at General Tire were very helpful and actually went the extra mile for me and located one at one of their online dealers -- Tires Direct. I placed the order yesterday, and the tire has already been shipped. So kudos to General Tire!
General also told me that with the xi, I could potentially also run into an issue with the vehicle differential depending on the difference in thread depth if I went with the GMAXs on one axle, and the Exclaims on the other. The Exclaims only have one summer season on them, so I'm not anticipating any issues with the new tire.
