Hi guys,

I've been thinking about lowering my car and stuff... but... i really dont want to user aftermarket springs and shocks.

Anyone still have their stock springs and shocks (sports package) for their 530i? Whatever is compatible with my car.

I'm not sure if the 545i sports springs and shocks would fit.. but if anyone can tell me they do, and someone has the original stuff, i'd want to buy it.

Well, let me know if there is.

you can go with just the springs without aftermarket shocks. it has been said that the eibach pro-kit and the H&R sport springs have been made to work with the oem stock shocks. im just guessing, but if its warranty that youre worried about when going with aftermarket suspension, dont worry about it.

Hey Nerweezy,

I'm not worried about warranty... its just the matter of the shocks being too bouncy after its been lowered, since I dont have sports suspension. I want it to last long, I dont want to have to change it out often you know.

So you think Eibach pro-kit is the best route to keep it closest to stock ride? since its 1.2 drop, wouldnt it be very bouncy with a Non-sports package 2004 530i suspension / shocks?

yes the eibach pro-kit gives the closest ride to stock. between eibach pro-kit and H&R sports the drop isnt much of a difference though. for a 530i eibach gives 1.2" all around and H&R sports gives 1.4" front and 1.3" rear.

i love the ride after my eibach pro-kit was installed. i too do not have sports package. for me, the ride before having the springs was bouncier than the ride now. in my opinion, the ride is a tad stiffer but not by much. it does give more road feel so id say it is "sporty". others at the top of my head that have the eibach pro-kit as well would be members fantastic 5 and nicke60gre. hope this helps.
