Method 1:
Purchase Bruce_Miranda's cable. His cables are specifically made to be used for pre-LCI cars (yours) to make the LCI taillights work. Bruce put alot of work into his cables to work exactly like the LCI cars, they are plug and play. You can pm him for more info.
Method 2:
Upgrade the whole LCI package (headlights, taillights). This requires you to purchase the new LCI headlights & taillights, along with light module and the LCI conversion cables.
I have two sets of taillights for sale.
1) Pre-LCI taillights with film tint on the red portion. $150 shipped
2) 2008 LCI, painted with Medium tint. $500 shipped

You can buy LCI tail lights for around $500-$550 from US dealers. Crevier in Irvine is one. Newport might be another choice with 25% off for board members.

You can get the OEM LCI Tail Lights from Garry from Newport BMW for $504 USD for the set.
The cables from Bruce cost me $371 USD after conversion that day.
