I want to purchase an BMW OEM Poplar Grain "Dark" Wood Interior Trim piece that cost me $100.00 for my FRONT passenger door, and does anyone know where I can buy one at?
I tried to match and buy one at my local Atlanta GA BMW dealer, and the BMW parts manager sold me a lighter Poplar piece (and said that's all their showing and all they can get me). Now it does blends but does not 100% match my dark wood that came on my 5 series in 2004.
I tried another BMW dealer and they said the same thing, all though they added all woods are slightly different in color, (I guess that is true, but I have never seen this with BMW before).

he knows vendors since hes been on for a while...
eddie, according to my SA, all trim pieces are made from one wood when it first come out. the problem is when you need a new one, it wont match because they are coming from different woods
