ECU remaps are not a joke. I've had both my 545i and E63 remapped. The remaps work best if you have a CAI and exhaust. Other members here who have had remaps include EuroCarFan, freed0m, roleez, and many others.
For the V-8's, Jesse has a brand new program too and it's *NOTICEABLY IMPROVED* over the previous re-map. Vincent told me I'd be surprised. Now that I've driven her for 5 days, she is a friggin MONSTER!
I can't speak for 6cylinder E-60's, but anybody with a V-8 contemplating this ---get to it. EuroRev is a great place to go to talk/learn about modding your BMW. And the guys there know their shit. They'll make sure you don't leave unhappy.

I am new at this forum. I have a few questions maybe some one can answer them.
First, do I have to get it re-map everytime after I take it to a dealership for service? I know for my Audi S4 and e39 M-5 before I had to, cuz the dealer would clear everything. I had to get it re-map everytime after a dealer visit.
Second, wat is the HP/Torque gain on the wheel?
Third, do i need to get re-map with each performance upgrade, i.e. intake, exhaust, headers...
Lastly, how much does it cost?

If you are staying in the West LA, I will recommend you to go to Pacific BMW , I know the guys there, they wont touch your ECU. But if in any case you get re flashed by the dealer, I will reflash it for you once again no charge. Retail is $599 and you get 30% off. To check for HP gain, pls tell me your model and year sir.

Thank you for the reply. I live in OC and I normally have my car service at Crevier since I purchase my vehicle there. I have a 2005 545i w/ SMG. Both my buddy and I are interested. He has a 05' 545i as well. How long does it takes. I know it takes my M5 20 mins or so.
