As BMW owners will certainly know, BMW has developed three different DVD aftermarket implementations for a DVD system retrofitting.

The first solution is the installation of a fixed DVD on the roof of the car with a small (I suppose 7") LCD display. This system is huge and, OTOH, has a very small LCD.

The second solution (called DVD advanced) is the installation of two LCD monitors on the back of the front seats in correspondence of the front headrest. This solution has the disadvantage of leaving the monitors always visible and is really huge and space-eating because the monitors are not installed IN the front headrests but behind them, taking much of the preciuos space between front and back seats.

BOTH of the first and second solutions have a BIG DISADVANTAGE: you MUST hear the DVD only by headphones.

The third solution, which is the object of this auction, is composed by a DOCKING STATION to be installed on the roof of the car, in which you can insert and take off a PORTABLE DVD with an 10" LCD screen. You can bring the DVD player at home and use it with the battery or with the power supply included.







When you come back to your car you just insert it into the docking station and watch your dvd, listen to your cd or just watch an external video i.e. playstation etc.

One of the best features of this solution is the possibility to listen to the movie WITH THE CAR AUDIO SYSTEM instead of using headphones, because it uses the AUX IN (enclosed in the package) installed in the glove box.

I don't think that this can be used with any NA spec E61 cars as they all have the full sunroof standard.

I suppose North America?
Anyway, do you mean that all the NA cars have the panoramic sunroof standard?
I didn't know that.

Anyway it's really simple, just place your veichle's last 7 digits on REALOEM and you'll get the correct numbers for this system with your car.

Yes, that is North American.

I thought that the US cars came with the sunroof standard, but maybe they don't. All Canandian spec E61 cars have the sunroof as standard equipment.

The BMW NA car configurator gives the Sunroof in the standard version.
