Exclamation Need seat mat sensor by pass installer

Hi guys, I am looking for someone locally in So Cal, (hopefully near OC, IE area) that can supply and install a passenger seat occupancy sensor by pass and clear the fault code. If you or someone you know can perform this job, I am seriously interested! Thanks, Brad 909-952-3181

^^^ I went to my local stealership and they said it was't part of the recall. I even talked to a bigwig at BMW NA, and asked if they could offer me any assistance and they shot me down. The local stealer said that if I were to buy a new car from them in the next thirty days, they would fix it for me. - WHAT A JOKE! ^^^

I don't think you need to install anything.. At least from my memory, John @ Motorcepts just coded it and cleared the fault. Good luck!

I've read that It's possible to deactivate occupancy sensor codding module but nobody (yet) know what gonna happen in accident.
Bypass tells for the module that seat is occupied and with or without passenger airbag gonna explode... It's only few hundred bucks but can save someone's life.
Only my 2 cents...

To have the seat mat sensor fixed by the stealership, they want around $1600.00 plus extra fees to clear the code. The seat mat sensor tells the computer if there is a passenger or not to make the passenger air bag ready in the event of an accident. From what I have been told, there is a by-pass sensor made that will tell the computer that there is someone sitting in the passenger seat whenever the car is started. Even though it is a by-pass sensor, the airbags will still activate in the event of an accident. I hope that explains what I hope to accomplish. Thanks, Brad
