Hi
I have E-60 523i and i am planning to buy the M6 Replica double spoke 167, I found it in www.modbargains.com. Made by Mario, the problem is that I have heard bad experience about the Replica Wheels such as Vibration, so my question.. is there any solution to avoid the vibration, for example if I got the right offset! And what is the Rings mean? And from where I can get the rings? And what is the right offset of my car?

Hi seriously... try to avoid replicas. its not worth the trouble. Sure if you're lucky you can find a good set that wont give you any problems.
The solution to avoid vibrations is to buy OEM M6 rims. Vibrations are usually caused by the replicas not manufactured to spec, either not perfectly round and having excess play like you said, in the center hub, where the wheel fits onto the car or something else. The E60 has a center hub bore of 72.56mm so if its not manufactured to that spec there will be a possibility of vibrations. Replicas "TRY" to make it 72.56mm but for whatever reason it could be 72.6mm so now you'll have excess play in the wheel. Or it can be smaller and be 72.5mm and it doesnt fit in ALL the way even though it looked like it fit.
"Rings" are hub centric rings for wheels that are not mad for your car so you use a adapter to make it fit. Kinda like a 1/2" socket to a 1/4" socket theres a adapter in between to convert one to the other
They're usually a plastic or metal rings that goes between the wheel and the car.

in my opinion like many others, replicas cannot match up to the quality of oem. some have been lucky though with the replicas and/or have corrected them using the hub centric rings. good luck with the wheels.

If you like the 167 style and you are planning to keep the car for years, then go for the OEM you won't regret it, like as you will may probably do with the replicas.

I went today to BMW local Dealer and he advice me not to have the M6 double spoke 167, he said that even the OEM won?t fit 100%. Really he made me confused !! So I changed my mined and I will buy M double spoke 184 , I really like it.
Any buddy have a picture for E-60 with M double spoke 184, wheels?

Oh yeah ...BMW specs ...but 184 is 18" wheel. Don't you like the 19" 172 style, or 18" 135 style?
