Hopefully this is not a re-post, but it looks like there is a source for (somewhat) reasonably priced replica M5 mirrors. I saw this on eBay, and it looks like this seller has at least about 6 sets available. From the description it sounds like they don't fold, but they have the space for the puddle lights. It says you use the oem motor and wiring, so I assume the reverse tilt down and other standard functions will still work. It says the glasses are anti-glare and anti-fog, but I doubt that means elctrochromatic, but not sure... Oh yeah, they're also carbon fibre on the bottom.

The price is $615 plus $35 shipping to the US (from China).

I haven't ordered as I'm working on some other mods first, but hopefully this is a reliable vendor for the mod that a bunch of people seem to be waiting for...

edit: by the way, I am not affiliated with this seller and have no idea if they are actually any good, just giving the heads up since I came across them on ebay...
$650 for reps. Way too much. Don't do it.

My local BMW parts department would have sold me ONE new M5 mirror for that price!

Anyway, if you can find USED M5 mirrors, pay half that.

I think that they were actually quite a bit less, i.e., around $975 USD.

But anyway. Bummer that that excellent deal ended!

I happen to have two older model mirrors (<-09/05), but unfortunately they are both from the right side.

300? / piece if anyone is interested.

Nope.

He currently sells them at a fixed cost of 1025 EUROS which is equivalent to about $1300 USD....

They WERE cheaper was my point.

I paid 650 Euros, which at the time was less than $1000 USD...
