Hopefully this is not a re-post, but it looks like there is a source for (somewhat) reasonably priced replica M5 mirrors. I saw this on eBay, and it looks like this seller has at least about 6 sets available. From the description it sounds like they don't fold, but they have the space for the puddle lights. It says you use the oem motor and wiring, so I assume the reverse tilt down and other standard functions will still work. It says the glasses are anti-glare and anti-fog, but I doubt that means elctrochromatic, but not sure... Oh yeah, they're also carbon fibre on the bottom.

The price is $615 plus $35 shipping to the US (from China).
I haven't ordered as I'm working on some other mods first, but hopefully this is a reliable vendor for the mod that a bunch of people seem to be waiting for...
edit: by the way, I am not affiliated with this seller and have no idea if they are actually any good, just giving the heads up since I came across them on ebay...

Yeah its too much for a non-auto folding replica. I saw that too, but decided that maybe if I stalk the ebay for a while I can assemble a nice pair of used and fully functional ones from breakers.

I have these same ones. And they do NOT have puddle lights, nor is there space to add them. $650 is too much. I got mine for far less.
That sucks, I could live without the folding, but no puddle lights! I thought since it said the escort light was not included, you just use your own...
How much did you get yours for?? And where from??? I think I would wait for one that has the puddle light and is cheaper...

Many BMW parts are way overpriced due to demand & affordability of buyers
This mirror is the worst among 'em.
It probably costs $10 to manufacture this in China....mark up...mark up...mark up.....Ta-da....650 SHIPPED!!!
ridiculous....

IMHO that's a lot for reps without functions. For that money you should be able to get some second-hand original mirrors on Ebay.
I paid 775 Euro for new original M5 mirrors with Puddle Lights and Autofold. I bought them from Schmiedmann, who ship internationally.
If I were going for the compromise of replicas, I would want to save more money than that! (I couldn't find cheap enough good replicas, which is the reason I went for OEM mirrors in the end.)
