iDRIVE Computer Upgrade BMW 5 E60 E61 E63 E64 | Trade Me
This unit supports all of the existing BMW OEM standard menu functions of your on-board computer display, which it replaces and give you:
8" TFT LCD | MFD Multi Function Display | 1080P HD | PIP | Bluetooth | SD | USB | RCA | iPod | GPS | Phonebook | Radio RDS | CD | DVD | Rear Camera Connector | Steering Wheel Controls |
YES, YOU CAN JUST PLUG AN SD CARD IN AND WATCH A FILM, ASSUMING YOUR CAR DOESN'T ALREADY HAVE A DVD PLAYER.
It works with everything that you already have, plus will also allow you to add things you dont have, like Hands Free Bluetooth Phone/Phonebook connectivity, NZ Sat Nav Maps, DVD Player, TV tuner, Reversing camera etc.
YES: THE CONTROL KNOB ON THE CENTRE CONSOLE STILL DOES THE VERY SAME AS IT DID BEFORE.
As well as updating what you have, to make your Bluetooth phone work hands free with your stereo, it is the idea product to replace the duff units on those Japanese imports, that can't take NZ Maps OR Bluetooth phones, which have the hard disc in the boot and ETC card system.
For BMW 5 E60 E61 E63 E64 / M5 2003~2010, with OEM Computer system.

Please do feel free to ask any questions.
You can easily pay over $1,000 for this or a very similar unit and then some want to charge you, the same again, to install it.

It is just plug'n'play. I bought it because I saw one installed in 30 minutes and to my amazement, everything worked, as before. All the BMW system and diagnostic menus all work. The map is NZ, but I don't think it would be a big deal to swap the map file. It's just an Micro DS card.
As for how much do I want for it: As much as possible. My starting price is NZ$500, so that's what I'll take.
If it doesn't sell online, by Sunday, then I'll be happy to negotiate.

My idrive/screen doesn't work, it just reboots over and over, only on cold Mourning's it works. My question to you is will this fix my issue? I'm hoping it just bypasses the problem

Yes, I believe that it will fix the problem, as it replaced the i-Drive display, whilst still pulling the ECU data for the system monitoring.
