I know the economy is rough right now, but does this mean we are going to start the plain silver caps for the valve stems??

Not sure what that Idrive knob is worth, but isn't that something that one would just give away??!!

Yeah, the first ones were kind of a satin silver, then sometime in '06 they added a leather top and different side grooves (like the one in the pic). The first LCIs had a rubber top and edges. Not sure after that. The M5 one is metal.

Right now there is one BIN for $39.95 + $13.88 shipping on e-Bay. Roveractive (always overpriced IMHO) has the same one for $69.95 + 6.95 shipping--both are new.

I guess it depends on your perspective and time available. To me, five minutes of packing time and a quick trip to the PO after work is worth $40-50.

If I had a good friend who wanted it, I'd just give it to him. But that's how my friends are. I'd say $40 shipped is a good deal on a forum.
