Guys,

Does anyone have a UPS shipping / business account I can use for just one shippment. As some of you know, I am selling my Mtech Bumper with the Hamann Lips in the classified forum. As of now, I have a potential buyer that is willing to buy my bumper. The Mtech bumper and the hamann lips is already in a original BMW box (74"X24"X36", 40-50lbs) oversize package. I went to a local UPS store for a estimate, and they quote me @ $560 to shipped the Bumper to houston, TX. I think if one has a UPS business account like Quad m,( where I got my bumper and Hamann Lip from), the price will be much better.

PLease help,,willing to pay shipment charge up to $200. or let me know where I can ship this big box more cheaper.

Maybe I'm mistaken but I don't think UPS discounts shipping for business customers. I think all a business account gives you is direct billing and possibly access to some free supplies, software, etc.

The UPS stores may do some marking up of the actual costs so you're better off simply going to http://www.ups.com and using the online shipping area to print the shipping barcodes, etc. You can fill out all the information and get a shipping estimate (based on package size, weight, origin and destination) before committing to the shipment. If you choose to ship it, you can use a credit card online and you'll be ready to give the package to any UPS driver or drop it off at any UPS pickup point.

I've used them when I sold my rear M-Tech bumper shipped across the US... from East Cost to West Cost CA to MA... and it cost me, well rather the buyer, $239 not bad.

so to TX it should be cheaper...

They're used by Crevier BMW here in CA. you can say Crevier BMW referred you... thats what I told them even tho it wasnt... I lied... but hey whatever... I'm sure if you said Eric Referred you they'll have no clue who I am. You can say you were referred by a friend and Crevier... even better HAHAH

I know they're based here in CA but I'm sure they can still pick stuff up from Jersey since they obviously have people deliver stuff there... wont hurt. Give them a call and see what they say. Let me know how it works out.

Fed Ex Express is usually the cheapest. Go to The Fed Ex Express in your area to ship.

i just went though this crap, save yourself time and go with DHL. All the major shippers use the same equation to reach a max number of 175". I forget the exact fomula, but if you ask them, you can get it. Main point is, the height is the hardest to get down to the 20-22" area. I cut down the original box, and got the number to exactly 175. This way, DHL only charged me $97 to ship it coast to coast. They would have even picked it up if I was at a commercial location.

You might also try freight services like Conway, if you have a commercial pickup location, they are reasonable in price. Not as cheap as DHL again.
