I'm pretty sure the x-pipe can be customized and it wouldn't make much difference. I've checked with my local shop that it roughly cost between $60-80 for a x pipe and probably another $40 for the pipe connecting the x-pipe to the mufflers. PM me and maybe we could work something out.

It may be simple to make an X-pipe but without proper testing, you can end up losing power due to poor design. I would steer clear of going that route and stick to matched components from the same manufacturer as much as possible because they've done the research and designed the parts to work together.

That sucks so if that's true then not using the original designed specs could leave me with HP loss... which in relation defeats the entire purpose of spending as much as your asking, for an exhaust system that I can get custom done for $600-$800 bucks which will most likely yield the same results of HP loss.

I mean maybe you already know this? That's why your not selling the Xpipes...?

To be fair to aznunknownx, the RDSport quad conversion system retails for $3100. I think the X-pipe accounts for about $650 of that cost so the $1700 asking price is a fair price and it also looks like he'll entertain offers.

There's still a chance that someone can design an x-pipe that won't cause a power loss but I think that's a small percentage. AZ probably didn't know this either cause he's taking the same chance as you of losing hp by going with some custom set up to match to his RDSport X-pipe.

Putra, you should either keep or sell the whole package.

nonono... the reason why I'm not selling the x pipes has nothing to do with power loss issue. I'm keeping the x pipe merely because it is more convenient for me and less work since I still want to do a quad exhaust setup. This saves me the time from having to get my own custom x-pipe. That's why I've reduced the price to make up for not selling the x-pipe. Right now, i'm planning on doing straight pipes (no mufflers) so I'm already aware that there will be power loss on my side even if I have the x-pipe on.

I hope that clears things up. =)

I also mentioned that if there's someone local that wants these I can refer them to an extremely good exhaust shop in SF who can work these bad boys out for your car. I'm planning on doing my custom setup soon there.
