Hey Guys,

I have for sale my BMW OEM iPod retrofit kit. I've only used it for 2 months and the sound is simply amazing. I'm only selling because I decided to go a different route. See my install thread :

http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=70723

It is coming from my car which is a 2004 530i (12/03) built, NO CDC. NO MP3 capabilities, pre-wired for CDC. If you are pre-wired for CDC, it will be a plug-and-play as far as installation. You may need to activate it at the dealership, if you don't have a CDC already or MP3 capabilities. There are many threads on here that will guide you through the steps. It has everything needed to make it a plug-and-play 10 minutes installation if you are CDC pre-wired.

I know I'm pretty new here, but I'm a verified premier paypal account holder if that helps

Asking price is $220 shipped to the US. I'm in Miami, FL in case local people are interested.

Thanks

Boxed up, ready to ship

Greg

Great price! Had I not just brought a brand new one, I would have jumped all over this.

Do you know if it works with ipod classic? I am not sure if that falls under the 5th generation category... I would assume because the minimal change, from 5th gen to classic, it would, but I would definately like to make sure.

I am somewhat interested. If you haven't noticed already, haha. Price seems pretty good as well.

Looking in my glove box real quick, it looks like you remove that back panel, then there is a cord with a red light on the end of it, in the cubby where the CD changer should be, is that what you plug into the ipod interface and store it?

Yes it does, that's actually what I have, a 80GB classic.

Oh ok thanks. I was reading some of the other posts about this and the mp3, and I am getting a little confused. If I install the ipod kit, then i have to take it to the dealer to update idrive so that mp3s will work, even if the mp3s are on my ipod?

The red light is the fiber optic cable..It plugs into the back of the ipod unit...Once installed, you will have to go to your dealer and have it coded for the ipod...That cost approx $200...If your car plays mp3's in the cd player in the dash, then you won't have to go to the dealer...It will be a simple plug and play...The install is super easy and takes like 15 mins to do...The crappy part is having to go to the dealer for the software upgrade...
