My Ride: E60 M5 Silverstone/black/alum mods: 20" Vellano wheels, H&R spring, SS x-pipe + SS Race exhaust, hardwired V1 E60 530i - sport package, bluetooth mods: M-tech full kit, OEM M5 side mirrors, Hella smoked tail light, Formula One Classic tint 50% all around

What is different in terms of pre/post 9/05 car when it come to installing those mirrors?

The connectors are different. The post 9/05 has only 1 connector, while the other has 3 connectors.

It hasn't worked for anyone yet that's outfitted the M5 mirrors. Even my530i can't get it to work.
