Nigxdoof,

I have a 2004 530i just like you, will it work in our cars?

Another thing is, I have read that auto transmission cars get an error message all the time if using Drive or SDrive, is this correct?, please let me know

If it works on our cars then I'll buy it!

Good luck with the sale man. I would get it if I had extra cash myself.

This gauge is not plug and play.

I would buy it for myself to take the needles and the face plates and put them on my car due to it matching the M5 look.

The only way to make this gauge work on another car is have it programmed by BMW or if you know how to Hex edit program.

Other than that. It will not work on any other car.

If you take any other Cluster, even a 2004 530i cluster and try to plug it in your car, you will receive and error message stating the mileage is not accurate and the only way to clear it is if you bring it to the dealer. I never tried this personally because i dont want to deal with the errors. I have only plugged in mine alone.

where are you located at? If you want, you can buy these parts and I can help fit it on your gauge for you. Also, in order to obtain the look, you would need to change the LEDS for the car too, which i help provide for members here.

Yes, it works perfectly but I can code it with a special tool I have. I have coded e60 clusters included M5 clusters. If you want, send it to me then I code it for you.
oh! I forgot this: I can delete the mileage and VIN stored in the cluster and put your current mileage and VIN of your car.

Yes, right! just change one code for the transmission that M5 cluster is programmed for SMG transmission to automatic transmission like yours.

I will pm you.

Give a PM to Miguex. Its simple for him but you would be without a cluster for a bit since he would need to get your cluster overseas and program him.

No, I don't do that and don't roll back the mileage. It is unlawful. sorry.

I said about converting coded to uncoded that means the mileage and VIN will be in blank once you install and plug it in. The ECU (CAS) will write them down automatically then will lock them on your new cluster for lifetime. I only can delete the mileage and VIN and make them in blank nothing else. NOT CUSTOMIZE THE MILEAGE. In that point you don't need the original cluster to swap if you car need to be serviced in which is good.

If you buy a coded one, the vin and mileage are stored from another car and stays undeleted unless you want to delete them even if you car need to be serviced, just swap it with the original cluster.

Many dealers won't do that but very few dealers gladly do it for you.

I hope it makes clear.
