would this be a plug and play unit? Any additional component required? I currently have an 04 545 with a 6.5 Idrive no nav.

It's more or less plug'n'play. I can code CIC to your car, but some modules in your car may require coding too. You will need Fakra GPS Antenna ($15 eBay) and 2 CIC faceplate trim pieces (about $35 each). You can keep your original climate controls but expect alittle gaps around the control buttons.

You may want to read up about the process.

Do you have Bluetooth?

I did not expect my ad to get such overwhelming response. To summarize my PMs:

1. This is rare hardware. Most retrofitters supply European version. This one is US with HD radio and mode/am-fm buttons.
2. This is a one-off deal. If it's gone, it's gone.
3. I can code it to your car, but there is a slight chance you may need some adjustments to coding. It will be your responsibility to find local help.
4. If you are a lucky guy to live nearby, I will install and code it for you. Make sure to bridge a six-pack
5. I can help with Combox install/programming/coding in person for a reasonable fee. I simply don;t have time to do it remote. This is what commercial retrofitters are for.

after some thorough reading, you'll realize that OP will install/code your car if you live in Louisville KY.

Very interested. How long would the code an install take? Just looking for a ballpark.

The kit was spoken for.

Just for the future reference, it takes about 2 hours to install and code it in most cases. Some cars may require software update from dealer. The newer the vehicle the less problematic is the install.
