I actually ended up installing this into my car. At first i was afraid that the cost with everything else I had to get was going to be too high. After some research I discovered that I could use my current "low" controller by coding the CCC unit so that cut off ~$200 and then I realized that I could just use an after market GPS antenna instead of getting the one that installs on the roof (installed mine under center speaker grill). Then I order the center trim from BMW in beige for $40 instead of getting the poplar wood which would have run me ~$150. Below is the total cost to do my CCC retrofit:
CCC Unit: $500
8.8" LCD: $250
GPS Ant.: $35
Center Trim: $40
2011 MAP DVD: $0 (Downloaded torrent and burned myself, works great.)
Total Cost: $825 (Worth every penny)

The maps are easy to find on any torrent site and yes Australia is available. BEWARE the burning process is very particular. I actually had to buy a new burner that was cable of changing the book type when burning. You have to use a DVD+R (I used Verbatim) then you have to find burning software that supports changing the book type from DVD+R to DVD-ROM. This burning process burns the disc in a format that is like the disc that BMW sells for $200! Also make sure to burn at 2X. It was a PAIN but was definitely worth it.
