Default FS: CCC and 8" LCD Navigation System

Hi guys,
I just upgraded my 2007 BMW M6 nav so I have the parts from my CCC system to sell. These work with 5 and 6 series. My car is a 2007 with 35k miles and the parts are all perfect. The screen has what looks like some marks on it in the pics below but that is just from the flash of my camera. When looking under normal light, there are no marks or scratches on the screen.

This includes 2 nav DVDs. The original 2007 and the updated 2009 (both east coast).

Price is $750 shipped (OBO). I can assist with retrofit information if needed. Please call with any questions.

Thanks,
Greg

gwells,

I am looking to upgrade my existing M-ASK system (w/o nav) in my 530xi, but not sure what newer systems are compatible (plug n' play) and if coding is necessary. Could you help?

Thanks

This is as plug and play as it gets buddy. Coding will be needed but most big cities have enough number of people on craigslist who can code basic stuff (or you can buy your own cable and do it).

Okay, but does any part of the dash surrounding the screen need to be modified? As for the coding part, I am thinking about learning that on my own and perhaps search for some video tutorials. I am going to have to start saving up money for this mod

You will need the following:

-CCC
-8" screen
-custom CCC fan wires
-GPS antenna
-HIGH i-Drive controller (if you want the feedback)
-face trim (poplar wood or maple, etc. to match your trim) see item 15 here: RealOEM.com * BMW E60 530i Trim panel dashboard
-coding and possibly programming

It isn't hard to do, however you may need to have your car programmed depending on what the components and your car software is. If for example the CCC has been upgraded to the latest BMW operating software from the donor car but you car is a version or two behind, you will need to upgrade your car via programming so the software is compatible with the CCC software. This will require a MOST bus connection (fiber optics) as the CCC is using the MOST bus and can't be done reliably with a cheap cable. You can go to a BMW indy or the dealer for the upgrade. Again, you may not need to if your current car software and the CCC are compatible in which case you can use NCS expert with the cable to just code for the CCC. You won't know until you install the CCC but it is recommended to pre-program the car to the latest release before installing the CCC. This way you are covered.

As long as you do not need to update the fimware, coding is quite simple. I do not believe my unit has had any firmware updates since it's late 2007 production. It is coded fo a US M6 so you would need to code some changes for a canadian 5 series (remove M drive, remove HD radio, remove sirius) The maps come on DVDs so they are easy to change.
