i dont know what kind of downpayment you would put down, but even @ .9%, if you put 20K down, you are still looking at roughly $680 a month for 5 years on a 60K car, not including tax
most people buy BMWs used or lease them new. i put 2500 bucks down and drove home in my new 535 for $599 month AFTER taxes.
in a little over 2 years i will turn my car in and leave in a new F10, although i was looking at a black X6 yesterday. I am thinking of moving to colorado in a few years, if i do, i will get the X6.

Thanks everyone!
As far as owning or leasing is concerned when i bought my car i was like im going to drive this thing for 6-10 years and sell it the day it rolls 90k. Since joining this terrible forum im never satisfied All the amazing cars on this site just keep new ideas popping into my head. I didnt think when i bought the 530 i would need/want a faster car. Its decently quick and can hit 130-140 with no problem.....BUT i was wrong i want quicker, and more powerful!
Also imo i think buying a brand new car is a waste of money. The depreciation that car takes the second you drive it off the lot is crazy. Therefore finding a used 2008 or 2009 in the next year would most likely be the smartest thing to do. If i do that and sell these wheels, thats means no kit, no wheels, stock 530 for the winter and try to unload it next spring.
All of this is speculation....depends what i can get for my car and if i can even sell these wheels. Too many possibilities right now....just going to focus on selling these and then go from there.

i would consider a lease. unless you were the type to buy a car and keep it for 10 years.

btw, look for some great photos this winter. once i am living downtown and and have some of my mods, since i work nights, i am gonna get some nightime street shots. downtown tampa is a ghost town outside of channelside at night, and there are some really nice buildings down there. i also found a parking garage at the airport that has downtown as a backdrop seen from the top level. i have been planning this for a while haha/

Brett, you know that I think your ride looks beautiful with the rep 167s on it. But I know that you like the 166s better if you keep it.
If you have the cash, the 535 or the 550 are huge steps up in power and speed from the 530. 550 is, of course, faster than 535 stock but a modded 535 will smoke the 550. (Given that, I am thinking of getting an ECU reflash from TT Motorsports that adds 24 bhp to bring power up to 384 bhp for a cost of $795). I love the 550 and its V8 engine. The engine sounds so sweet and its power curve is so steady, so linear, so predictable. The V8 is a solid, proven engine.
If you ever are serious about the 550, I am still looking for someone to assume my lease which ends in March 2012. But mine is an 18K miles per year lease which makes the payments higher. And I put not a penny down on the lease for a cap cost reduction as a cap cost reduction is not a wise econonic move should the car be stolen/totaled during the lease.
Although my 550 is terrific, you could get a 535 for less and mod it to be faster than my car. That's probably the wiser move economically.

your car does look great. yeah, it would be nice to have a pair pf turbos strapped to that 3 liter, but i PROMISE, you will get bored with the 535 too. its never ending! you could drive a Bugatti veryon, and you would eventually be looking to purchase a F-18.

This was in the middle of the day at a shopping center....there were people everywhere. i just posted up, lined up my picture and took it. They can shake their heads and laugh at me if they want but who's getting into a 1995 honda civic dx 4 dr? Not me.
