How does the item work? Ive seen this but im just curious what the benefit of this is vs some cheap bluetooth adapter.

 

Hello, basically it plugs into the usb and audio jack in the center console, search blutooth devices through idrive or radio and enter the code in the manual witch I think is 0000 and it automatically connects everytime to your car and cell phone and you can play music from your phone and I believe the steering wheel controls work with it as well
