jk, hopes it comes off clean. ive used a mixture of gasoline and water to melt off any residue if your having trouble getting the sticky crap off. just make sure you put a little wax back on the area.

OP - Are you planning to sell those door molding? If not, then this thread is in the wrong section.

Nonetheless, GL with the molding removal.

i removed the door molding it looks clean and great.the only problem i have is that the previous owner must have had the driver door painted and clear coated with the molding on b.c the clear coat is missing where the molding was... any ideas of what i should do??

Probably 6 years of weathering has caused the difference in finish appearance. Unless, of course, you feel a definite paint line. Otherwise a thorough cleaning, claying, polish and wax should fix you up. If a repaint was done that might require a more aggressive paint correction and might best be left to a professional detailer.

yea im going this weekend to body shop to get prices on painting it and was also thinking of getting the m tech kit as well..
