As far as I know, it fits on the rear window glass so, why not with 3M double sided adhesive tape? I don't like the use of silicon on the glass, because it will get "grubby" at the edges.

for the roof spoiler, 3M tape can be used for installation
for the rear spoiler , 3M tape is ok, but we would also suggest customer to use strong silicon, to make sure that's strongly adhere to your rear truck.
and those kit are good fit, don't worry about it

Any suggestion of what particular strong silicone brand to use for such application? That will not harm the paint over the trunk lid but will bond & hold the spoiler in place?
